Lakeside
Nature Center offers a variety of events each year that are
fun for children, families and adults. In mid-October each
year, Magic Woods delights young and old as they walk along
the well-lit Lakeside Nature Trail learning about native wildlife.
Each
spring hundreds of volunteers pick up trash and plant trees
along the Blue River.
Volunteers join the Lakeside Staff in February for Groundhog Day
celebrations and in April for Earth Day.
In
October, the trail at the Center is inhabited by native Missouri
animals. When Mother Nature sprinkles you with
special dust, you can understand their speech and they tell you
about their world.
Wildlife
classes, conservation activities, special programs and enjoyable
visits through Lakeside Nature Center results in something
for everyone.
If
you are planning a meeting, birthday or group activity, why
not go wild. Host your event in our classroom or at our Lodge.
Call the Center at (816) 513-8960 to plan your own fun.
